Filmybox Media & Entertainment's first production venture "Mere Dost Picture Abhi Baki Hai",

It is a satire on the film industry, showcasing the struggle of a maker before he brings his film on to the marquee. Only this Narendra Singh-produced venture, directed by Rajnish Raj Thakur, could be the struggle of any of us who seek to make their passion, their profession and face the innumerable hurdles that follow, albeit in a humorous manner.

The music launch of the film saw the cast in full attendance supported by members of film fraternity, who did not mind the take off on the industry and in stead did not mind laughing at themselves. Hosts Narendra singh and Arshad Siddiqui ensuired that Suniel Shetty, executive producer Arif Shaikh, Shayan Munshi, Rakesh Bedi, Razzak Khan, director Rajnish Raj Thakur, Amitabh Dayal, director Ashuu Trikha, composers Rajendra Shiv and Aprvez, Sufi singer Mudasir Ali were seen at the do. The cynosure of all eyes was Sunil Shetty whose efforts have seen the film getting its due.

Moving on to the storyline, Filmybox Entertainment’s MERE DOST PICTURE ABHI BAKI HAI, directed by Rajnish Raj Thakur,  is the journey of Amar Joshi (Sunil Shetty) who runs a video library in Benaras and aspires to be a filmmaker. Despite facing objection from his father, Amar Joshi decides to sell his video library and join a film institute in London.

After completing his course he lands in the city of dreams ‘Mumbai’ to make his film.  Suraj (Rajpal Yadav) is a struggling actor doing bit roles in T.V. serials, who is Amar’s only connection in Bollywood. Amar Joshi starts his struggle to make his film by meeting different type of producers who have their own take on Amar’s story. After many failed attempts he finally bumps into Monty Chadda (Rakesh Bedi)  a publicist who sees  good potential in Amar and decides to produce his film.


Amar & Monty take help of star secretary Gupta ji (Akhil Mishra)  to convince Mohini (Udita Goswami) & her starry mother Mummy ji (Neena Gupta) who agrees  to do  the film.

Amar’s film starts, but is stalled all of a sudden when Monty suddenly disappears. Amar is summoned by Sudama Bhosle (Deepak Shirke) a don who was financing his film. He wants Amar to complete his film and also wants him to cast his girlfriend  ‘Tina’ (Mumait Khan). Amar reluctantly agrees as he has no option. A turn of events later, Amar sees the remaining portions of his story being rewritten by , Mr Baig whom he cannot get rid of. Will the audiences accept the changes made to a true story to make is commercial?  This forms the crux of he story…
